Cochester, VT – The Colchester, Vermont, Police Department has successfully implemented the EvidenceOnQ evidence management system from FileOnQ, Inc., helping to make their evidence chamber one of the best in the state.
These changes come just months after veteran Detective Tyler Kinney was arrested. He's accused of stealing drug, money and gun evidence from the department while he worked alone. The chief has said this sparked their changes. The new changes that include FileOnQ's - EvidenceOnQ software for tracking and managing property evidence along with new security and policy procedures shows they are taking a proactive approach to managing their evidence.
The department says the changes will ensure the integrity of their evidence and with a robust evidence sytem like EvidenceOnQ at the center helps reassure the public that they take evidence seriously.
